The issue is when you use E85 at any dilution you may need to bring up your fuel pressure. The flex fuel wires allows you to indirectly control this. Generally if your adding less than 2 gallons, you should be fine. For those who are running more than 2 gallons, pushing the limites, its needed.

The only added benefit if your not changing any values is you can see your fuel pressure to the injectors.

I also found the Wastegate wires - I never added them but will throw them in.
