Founded in 1971, Motor Werks has been regarded as a dominant part of luxury automobile retailing in the greater Chicagoland area and Illinois. Having delivered thousands of new and pre-owned vehicles to individual retail customers, they've gained a reputation amongst their clients for the highest quality of service in purchasing and servicing vehicles. In the quest for wanting to offer more to their client base, Motor Werks offered us a demo G30 540i M-Sport to put mild cosmetic modifications on, and return to the showroom floor for sale.

IND's painted front and rear reflectors are in the first round of modifications that many of our clients and fellow enthusiasts put on their cars, so this was the natural first step in the progression of the exterior of the vehicle. The front reflectors were color matched to the Carbon Black exterior paint, where the rear reflectors were painted to match the texture of the matte black M Performance upper rear diffuser that would be installed.

The next steps were to remove all traces of chrome from the exterior of the vehicle, so we started with refinishing new OEM trunk emblems in addition to the front and rear BMW roundels with our Black Chrome finish. Next, the door handles were removed from the vehicle and the chrome exterior strips on the handles were painted to match the Carbon Black body color of the vehicle. At the rear of the car, the stock chrome exhaust tips were removed and coated with a matte black ceramic coating to match the BMW M Performance upper diffuser we added to the 540.

Finally the vehicle was fitted with all the currently available G30 BMW M Performance components to complete the OEM plus vision that we had for the car. Completing the theme, a 35% tint was applied to the front and rear windows, along with the rear windshield.

The final product is a vehicle that is meant to appeal to a client that is looking for more than the M-Sport trim level has in terms of aesthetics, but still retains the premium fit and finish of the G30 5 series.
