I made the change from a 330e to a 530e. My suggestions would be nappa leather (IMHO Dakota/Vernasca are crap and you are better off with sensatec if you don't upgrade to nappa), HUD and ACC.
I drove an M340i at the BMW Autocross event and it was a hoot. I am sure the 540 will be as well.
