So yesterday i was at an closed event in Norway to see the G30. It was a silvergrey 540i with light interiour. The show was excellent, since they had lined up every 5 series to date, except the E12.
I attended it not expecting much, but they had an Scandinavian expert flown in, who had a great insight into the model, and luckily i got to talk to the guy afterward.
So what about the G30, you've all seen the pictures, and as with the 7, it's not spectacular on pictures.
More a evolution from the stylish F10, but close and upfront, the lines is perfect, very modern and makes perfect sense, the F10 really pales in comparison.
I've been to alot of previews, this is probably the ones that suprised me the most, not having superhigh expectations, and loving the current model - the F10.
But then you see the G30, and hear about the technical background of it, i'm mighty impressed with the car, it's the perfect design and solution coming from the F10.
The expert did said it was the most thoughtfull and testet car ever from BMW, with over 200 crash test and an insane amount of milage covered.
He also insisted on laser lights are for the 7 and i8 only, so no laser on the G30.
The LED did light up 500 m, the laser did max out at 600m, i guess it's enough, it's more a marketing thingy, since the laser light only works on distance.

BMW are usually understated on paper and pictures, the G30 more so, it's a car that has a lot of pressence, an impressive outcome from the succesfull F10, good job BMW!
