So I am going to install a Blend Mount Mirror Tap on my 2019 M550ix. I installed one on my wife 2018 M3. It turns on as soon as you unlock the car and turns off as soon as you cut off the power.

I have seen a couple of conflicting posts. Some people say there is no switched wire/lead in the mirror on the 2019. Other people say the line there is switched but like the aux port it stays on for 5+ minutes after shutdown. I have also ready that there might have been a wiring change between 2018 and 2019. I would be ok with that but I do not want to bother attempting the install if the wire/lead is always hot. At that point I will just hardwire it.
