I've got an order in for a MY 2021 M550i (you can see the build details on this thread:
https://g30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1724947 (page down a bit - it changed since I first posted it) and I'm expecting delivery in late July-ish at the Performance Center in SC.
I'm not planning on doing the level of tinkering you're doing (at least not yet), but I'm seriously considering the paint protection film.
Have you had any major issues with it (mechanical, electrical, etc.). I spent a lot of time researching the G30 before committing to the purchase, including spending about an hour with the service advisor that' been taking care of my F10 for the last several years, but it's always nice to hear from an owner.
