I wish I knew ... I am not really a techy.
Anyway, the guys at The Tire Rack assured me that they would fit and I used one of their approved install locations to put on the wheels. The rims were installed with no problems by a factory technician.
Other than that, I don't know what else to say but that I am happy with my choice of wheels and feel of the vehicle.
