Right. This is the first I've heard of it being used on the dash. The dash on my E39 M5 is leather, and I believe the optional leather dash on the F10 M5 and F8X M3/4 is also leather. I wonder if the new M cars will have Sensatec dashes as well. Makes sense as the leather on the dash is so thin and stretched tight, you probably can't tell the difference.
you probably cannot tell. I've heard from SA's that sensatec holds up better in the long-run as compared to leather.

I'd be a bit concerned about leather drying out on the dash facing the hot sun all day, year after year...

I'm interested to see if this sensatec dash is smooth or textured.
Yep. Leather dashes are sometimes a problem in Ferrari's in which they shrink and need to be tended to. Could happen to any Leather dash I would think.
