Realistically, you don't even need what a 530i offers. Even that is overkill for what is needed on US roads. And if you prefer the handling of the 4-series, then drive that.

So, I'm not really sure I see your point.

It's kinda like a nice steak vs. ground beef. The ground beef still gives you nutritional value, and you don't need the steak. But, sometimes, you just prefer the steak. It all comes down to personal preference.
