At least I used to be naive enough to think it didn't exist, and it was all about the development of great technology (and it has been) to do one thing, go as f’ing as fast as possible. The problem, or the reality with that statement is that there are so many hands in the purse grabbing money that the politics are impossible to avoid. We are giving team principles drivers, etc. a hard time. They are just puppets at this point when they are out of the car. Do this say this, act this way, fight for this, wear this certain way, etc. They are all controlled by sponsors , corporations, and MONEY plain and simple.

I’m with you on someone not being allowed to join a FIA, Liberty, or F1 and they just came from a team that same year. There needs to be a cooling off period but at the same time this is done in corporations all the time, which is not something I want to see in sport. I’m not saying it’s right, it just another tactical move, if that’s what it truly is. It may also be someone bettering themselves with a better job, we can’t fault anyone for doing that and gardening leave does not always work well with the finances of someone that in senior management or designer at top team. Considering the cash on the table, there are major games being played by all. F1 Teams are nearing billion-dollar valuations, its all about the cashflow now.

All that being said there are some games being played that equate to one thing and that’s money, and I personally subjectively ( I have zero proof of anything, just understanding large corporations and people) believe its Liberty Media. If you go back and listen to some of the interviews with their group of clowns all they care about is turning F1 into a global spectacle that rakes in billions upon billions. Some of the grid walk interviews I have heard over the hears left me speechless as they were as about disingenuous as you can get. The FIA is not innocent either, F1 pays the majority of their bills and fat salaries. This reminds me of NASCAR in the late 90s and early 2000’s, and it nearly bankrupt NAASCAR. Yes, I admit that I actually watched NASCAR when it was about building your own car, going fast as possible and drivers being drivers. Of course, the reality is no sponsors to racing, but there is a fine line for this to work for both sides and greedy people always ruin a good game.

I really hate that we are all talking about F1 sanctioning bodies politics and not fast cars, fast drivers, and cool technology. It’s that’s not anyone's fault here but its what F1 is giving us. I was much happier talking about who should have lifted for Copse 😊, but I’m not starting that once again LOL
