Yes, it is quite awkward how it doesn't aesthetically "connect" at the top bridge/fork. That and the angular, sharp edges vs. the traditional rounded mirrors for M-models.

I actually prefer the E9X M blinkers and how they are integrated into the side gills a la BMW Z8.
Very subtle and clean & goes together with the side profile well.
The new F-chassis with blinkers on the mirrors, while nicely executed, still look a bit more generic in comparison.
