I'm having the G30 540i M Sport. I did not change the grille parts nor removed the foglights. Instead, I got the local dealership to fit it in and I do not find that it poses any issues. Below are some photos.

Be aware though, based on what I researched, it seems that the Front Air Dam
trim pieces for the M550 sit on a different grille part # than other models, as the M550 doesn't have fog lights. So if you are trying to install this on a model with fog lights, you may have to remove the fog lights in order to get this to work, as well as replace some other parts of the air dam.
