For those of you that have never heard of Skoda, is one of the oldest automakers in the world. Started in the Czech Republic back in 1895 by Václav Laurin and Václav Klement. It became part of the Volkswagen group in 1998.
Skoda had plans to enter the US market back in 2017 but they were scrapped indefinitely to pursue other "emerging and more profitable" markets.
I have seen new Skodas in Europe and I would say they are more attractive than comparable VW branded vehicles. The Octavia and Superb are pretty decent looking cars and some would say quality as good or better than German VDubs.
