I am in need of some advice.

I've recently coded Apple CarPlay and am having issues with connectivity when phone is not in cup-holder as it keeps cutting out and returning to iDrive.

I've purchased a WiFi antenna and an wanting to know if this needs additional coding to enable to antenna or is it plug-and-play?.
