Well, TireRack has them as the #1 tire in the uhp summer category, and I'd agree with the ratings they've earned. I'm in FL, and haven't had any rain/wet road problems with them.
Dry grip is slightly less than PSS, about DW quality in the dry.
Better than PSS in the wet, but not quite DW qualtiy.
Worth noting that the 500's are just the american version of the Bridgestone RE003. I found these things when shopping for another set of RE760's and learning that the 760's were obsolete, replaced with the 003.
