The M3 touring will get OS8 on launch, that kinda implies to me the M3 will get OS8 then (or more likely in 7/22 with the 3er LCI) as well; but what about the M4 (the 4er will get it in 3/23)? I assume BMW won't let M3 and M4 have different cockpits, so the M4 will get OS8 in 7/22 (or 11/22?) as well?

My records show the infotainment updates of G8x will be aligned with their base models, so yeah, different cockpits for the 8 month period between the LCIs of G20 and G22/G23.
The tradition of not applying the LCI label to refreshed M cars will hold here.
