IMO, that ship has sailed. As others have mentioned, times are changing. A good example would be the new M5 at 600HP vs the E63S at 603HP. The M5 CP will be rated at 615HP. I use the M5 as the example (and not the M3) because of M XDrive and its ability to put the power down. The X3M will also have no issues putting the power down and would be able handle 500HP.

IMO, BMW will release the X3M with the S58 at 475HP and the X3M CP with 490HP.
