I had this problem a few months ago, but my warranty had already been up. So took it to another garage to fix. If you are taking it to BMWHK to fix, please have them fix BOTH sides of the door. I had my driver side problem and had it replaced. Then about 2 weeks later the OTHER passenger side door had problem and it had to be replaced as well. It cost about 2k for each side.
