You mean the principal that its always been the heaviest and most gadget laden 5 series?

Apart from the lightweight specials (e46 CSL and F80 GTS) every M car has always been the heaviest petrol RWD car in the range be that 3/4/5 or 6.

They have never been lightweight and that includes the e30 M3 which was heavier than the e30 325i.
