You can find used parts online much cheaper than that in good working condition. On eBay, the FRR (radar) can be had used for around $650-$750 USD.
Very rarely do I buy the major parts new for my retrofits. The actual modules and such I will find used, and then whatever I can’t find used or things like wiring, etc, I will order from a supplier.
