The rubber compound is very soft on the Cup2, not the sidewall. They probably ride okay, but that is not their purpose. These are basically street legal track tires. Do not expect to get more than about 6k miles from them. And I would be cautious in the wet.

My new M5 came with Pirelli P Zeros due to the back order of the PSS (I assume). The ride is nice and they stick like glue. Excellent turn in response, but I am afraid they will only last about 10~12k miles. The PSS have a better wear rating without sacrificing much in performance. I would have much preferred the Michelins.
