Could have been a thousand miles ago. Tires are very durable. But hit that wrong pothole and it could stress that portion just right to blow it out. Great to replace it.
I do the same with bubbles. Immediately swap in a new tire. Even though a bubble could last a mile or 5K miles. You never know. But you don’t want that failure to be at the worst time and cause a litany of problems.
