I had 18" on my previous G30 and have 19" on my LCI. In both cases runflat staggered tires (same brand and type) and adaptive suspension.
Due to the adaptive suspension, the difference in comfort and sportiness (cornering) is hardly noticable. The 18" were better with potholes and parking on the sidewalk due to the larger and beefy sidewall. While they look better, you have to be very careful with 19" or 20" wheels not to scratch them.
When you select tires pick one with rim fringe protection, marked with RFP, FP or MFS (maximum flange shield). They add extra protection to the sidewall.
