Dealing with Seattle's horrible traffic, terrible roads along with all the idiots who drive and of course bike on them takes all the fun away from the commute. Both 340 and 540 will be plenty of car for the task.

I would argue that a 540i in Seattle's gridlock would be a waste of a car. A 530i should fit the bill nicely
