2017 540i lease buyout questions

The lease on my car is up in June and I'm strongly considering buying it out. I had a few questions I hope someone can help me out with. It was a 3 year, 36000 mile lease, and I will probably be about 8K miles under by the time June rolls around (I don't drive that much). The car is in pretty much perfect shape as well.

For starters, I looked up my financial profile online on the bmw website and clicked on Payoff information. My initial residual was $43,000. However, it appears I have a line item for Customer Purchase Promotion that is knocking off $6700 off the $43,000, so my payoff is listed at around $36,000. That sounds great to me, but I just want to know if there's a catch. This appears to be an early payoff as well since it's only good up to March 7th.

I'm considering getting an extended warranty when the factory one runs out. What are my options? Should I stick with one directly from BMW? Is it worth it to look at 3rd party? Is getting one even worth it?

Lastly...is there anything about the 2017 540i that I should be concerned about? It's been a great car so far with no issues. I believe it's the first year of this series though...and I know that can sometimes come with risks.

Thanks!
