Anyone know how difficult the install is for the OEM solution? Or, what the dealer will charge for this if you have them do it? Also, what does the OEM part go for?
What's the Intravee cost?

I installed the OEM solution myself in my Coupe. It's not difficult, only took about an hour or so. The hardest part was dealing with the little grommet they use to pass the cable through to the glovebox. I've since bought a specdock interface and now my iPod mount is where my ashtray use to be.
The OEM unit works fine and does display artist.title information, but as others have said you are limited to 5 playlists BMW1-BMW5, but at $150 versus the almost $400 for the intravee, it seemed a fair trade off.
Here's a link to a thread on bimmerfest which has the installation instructions and a lot of dialog around the OEM interface

Also, here is a link to the specdock which is just a plain cool mount for the ipod in the Z4.
http://www.specdock.com also, the specdock does have an adaptor option which will allow it to charge newer ipods/iphones. If you don't already have an interface, I believe you can bundle a dice or similar with the specdock when you order it.
