The X1 are leaps and bounds above Hondas, Subarus, Jeeps, Toyotas and it didn't cost that much different than similar class SUV or SAV as BMW calls it.
It did have less options for the same price. Stuff like leather, LED lights, autonomous stop, adaptive cruise, CarPlay are extra cost options or not even available in the X1
But like I said it's an appetizer BMW or a gateway BMW, making you want more and stronger BMWs
