Do you have a screen mirroring item in your media list and in your mobile devices settings? Check that first.

There are 2 WiFi options in G30: 1 is Miracast service for ScreenMirror and 1 is a Hotspot feature that shares internet connection to mobile devices in the car (supplied by esim installed). Later one asks for pass to connect. Screenmirroring doesn't.

Both of them can be available independent of CarPlay.

First one can be coded if it doesn't exist, but a formal subscription to BMW is mandatory for the second.
