I literally just bought a 2019 M550 and I see so many people have tunes, chips and modifications to the motor.

What is a chip and what is a stage 1 dinan tune?

I don't want to void my warranty but I would like to add some horsepower to the car. Sorry for the rookie question but could anyone tell me what a JB4 is and all this tuning difference and best option I should go for?

My dealer told me any modification involving tuning is 100% going to void the warranty. But one of the guys told me at the dealer if I chip the car and remove it before it goes back to the dealer they will never know. Anyone have any idea what any of this means?
