The problem in the 540i isn't so much the resonator/muffler as it is the downpipe. The downpipe on this car absolutely kills the sound and chokes the engine.
I installed a catless downpipe on mine along with the MPPSK kit, sounds fantastic! Planning to do a resonator delete to make it even louder haha
