I'm also South African and last week I ordered a 540i. Production is scheduled for September and I have been told that I will probably take delivery at the end of November or sometime in December.
Only 2 units were allocated for the second half of the year for the whole of the country!
So I anticipate that we won't see many other 540i's on the road.
I will be interested to hear how long it takes you to get yours!
Funnily enough, I also ordered mine in Bluestone.
