So I took my car in and told them about my Idrive freeze up. (No signal text and a loud screeching) They performed diagnostics and found a fault in Head Unit - VEH - They said it needed reprogramming.
They kept my car overnight and installed the latest Istep for my car. Diagnostic shows no fault on head unit after reprogramming..
Just figured I would share what was done.... hopefully no more Idrive lockups
