Too bad we don't get (And likely we'll never see) a G31 on this side of the Atlantic. To me this is car is such a no brainer against a X3 or X5.

BMWUSA and BMW Canada have decided that there is no market for this car in this continent. What a bunch of bullshite.

They rather push and sell every X SUV produced by the US factory.

I am happy with my "saloon" G30 but the G31 would be a tempting proposition if available here.

The last time the US market received a 5er Estate was 2009 with the E61.
