I should highlight that the cylinder heads, are set below the tops of the rear tires. Not the case with the C7. It has no need for the engine to be mounted higher to clear the exhaust which is the real reason for the upturned headers. Also, the LT2 has a shallower oil pan than the LT1/4/5 as the engine uses 3 scavenge pumps instead of one oil pump now.
I have no doubt that its mounted lower than the C7 setup.
