As far as I can see, the era of the internal combustion is rapidly drawing to a close, and car makers will have to stop sniffing the gas fumes and seriously embrace the electric technology if they want to be relevant 10 years from now. 50 km effective range?! That's less than 35 miles. Chevy Volt had similar range back in 2010! I can think of another dominant market participant who did not adapt fast enough to changing market dynamics...of course, that is just one's opinion...

50 km? For a model going to be on the market 2017-2022 something? Are they joking?


I really like my current 5-series (F11). Only thing is that I really would like electrical drive so would love to see that in next gen 5'er.
But 500 km range is kind of minimum... 50 is just a joke.

I know other people look forward to an M5 etc. But one doesn't rule the other out.
