I have this option (comes as standard on US cars) on my car and am very happy with it, It's not brilliant and the HK which I had for a day has the edge on it, but it's not bad at all.
However, I notice that I'm playing my music (from USB stick) at halfway or above all the time on the volume scale. On the radio it's much lower down.
Is this normal?

Also is there just one tone setting for each source or can you make separate adjustments for each?
