Interesting. I was also taken to the connected drive portal and was intrigued to see a subscription for high beam assist and drive recorder .£199 for a one off is not bad if you got the 4 cameras fitted.
This looks like the start of the subscription model of upselling services.
In the uk, the nice thing is that it may keep your car under the £40k threshold for luxury tax and services can be added later.
