Not sure how alive this thread is, after some solid info. Had a 540i stolen, the order had keyless access removed. Police and BMW seem unsure how the relay theft works if the key is not comfort access enabled. I am unsure how you now really do secure these things and does the ghost system really work independently. ie if they get access to the diagnosis port to clone a key, does the ghost work independently from the ECU etc. ?
