Currently have an M2, don't have any buffeting issues with the windows down, pretty much normal amount.

Sunroof vented or no difference? Possibly related, are you tall? I tend to be right next to the b-pillar which I think accentuates the issue. I'm 6'2" and like my arms pretty extended.

No sunroof on the M2, 5'11, sit pretty far back, haven't had any significant buffeting issues.
I think the Toyota just suffers worse because of the window design and its more angled, maybe something to do with aerodynamics. All i know is that when I drove the Supra recently, I had heard of the buffeting issue, and tested it out myself and found that it has greater than average buffeting at lower speeds from 40mph+.
