The remote receiver receives not only the RF (radio frequency) signal for the remote fob...it also receives the data being sent from each TPM sensor in each wheel. And it is located on the rear parcel shelf on the G30. (see A203 pics below)
The signals from the TPM sensors used to go to a separate RDC module...but the function of that model was incorporated into the DSC module...along with the reception of the wheel sensors being pickup up by the remote control receiver and then sent to the DSC module.
So yes, If the exposed/pinched wire was related to the remote control receiver module...this could disrupt both of the systems you mentioned.
