I canīt reply to your question, but I had a very basic G30 and am now driving a very well equipped G31 - except for the audio systems, which in both cases are the Basic one. I fitted HarmannKardon speakers in both cars, where the original Base-speakers were fitted. Midrange and tweeters front and back. I know, that doesnīt make it "full" HarmannKardon or Hifi, but the sound has improved a lot, and it plays okay now.
So keep that in mind as an "easy Plan B". No new wires needs to be routed, no coding is needed and you donīt need an amplifier. I bought the speakers second hand on eBay.
