Like the other person who posted I was not aware that knife less tape existed but a couple YouTube videos educated me and I can see how that would be essential in doing that project.

I think your idea is an excellent way to make the existing headlights on pre-LCI cars look a little more sporty and updated without doing a full-blown LCI retrofit

I'm going to look around and see if I can find a local shop that would be willing to do that before I would attempt it myself!

I'm curious how that idea would look with vinyl like you did it compared to a tint that has some translucent to it ??
Ok so maybe I confused some of us here, I'm just gonna repeat.
The white 540D is done by a specialist with black vinyl and using knifeless tape which I provided him. it was the first time he ttempted soething like that and he nailed it.
The Donnington grey M5 I did myself since I had more time. I used the lamin-x precut sheets. what I did is measured the non lit part of the lights and cut the lamin-x using scissors. knifeless tape is only good for vinyl but not on lamin-x. It takes some patience but totally doable.
