They must have improved on this some in MY2020. As I don't find it to be a problem at all. It works pretty flawless for me and can handle some very small parallel parking spots in the city where I spend most of my time. I've been battle testing this for about a month so I can confidently turn it over to my wife and I've been pretty impressed honestly.
That being said, it isn't a must have feature on its own. The surround view cameras are though and this comes along for the ride. IMHO the surround view cameras are simply a must have upgrade. |
Parallel parking aid can be helpful but I find it sometimes can't complete the job or just takes way longer than if I did it myself. I've successfully used it to parallel park once or twice. For straight in parking it's just too slow! Too many correction steps.
