I was very excited about buying a new BMW and have been looking at them for quite a while. A friend suggested I do more research and directed me to these forums. Coming across this makes me hesitate to buy now. I would be very upset if a car I spent close to $90K on had needed an engine replaced after 4000 miles and very unhappy with the decision to replace with what is not a like-kind replacement. Thank you for sharing your experiences as I have never spent this much on a car before and am going to think this over more carefully before I decide to move forward with BMW.
