Maybe call Safelite or similar glass repair shop to see how they do it, or maybe simply have them do it. Probably would not cost much. My insurance company once had them fill a significant stone chip to prevent any actual cracking. it was not in my field of vision. Didn't cost me anything; insurance company figured it was much cheaper than a new windshield. They used a technique that placed a suction cup over the spot to create a vacuum and glued it so the glue would flow into the windshield.Not sure exactly how it worked but it was fine for about 8 years when I sold it. --Bob
