Most often, yes. Used to qualify almost all races, now I rarely qualify and have much better results from a damage and consistency perspective. Now I only qualify when I'm in a decent grid with above 1500ir lol
If you want to move up and keep SR/iRating, just start in the back and move your way up through attrition, it's honestly the fastest way. If you're up front, someone from behind 9/10 times will wreck you because they are too impatient or inexperienced to do so "safely"
