Rather funny how in the States you call an estate an "mommy" car. Here in Western Europe, the estate to sedan ratio is about 60 to 40 and nobody thinks of the estate as something less desirable than the sedan.
We actually see SUVs more like women's cars as virtually every women prefers them over a decent (e.g., non-SUV) car
There really is no point in an SUV on a standard road, is there? And even if you very often drive offroad, I guess there are better cars for that...guess it makes us all feel high and mighty. To me an estate strikes perfect balance between practicality and handling (= fun).
