Interesting. I was under the impression that the Leipzig plant simply didn't have the capability to accommodate Individual orders since it was designed to be a low-volume (>800 units per day), high-efficiency 'green' manufacturing site first. Then again, the i8 does roll off its own dedicated line there.
I wonder if Individual i8 models are still possible, though, since BMW doubled i8 production last year?
