Sorry - gonna have to disagree with you on that. BMW's n54 proves my point. N54 e9x never sounded anywhere near as good as N54 e8x.

Same motor/ecu etc - totally different CBE configuration......
I beg to differ.. The N54 335is is one of BMWs best sounding exhaust, hands down..

335is is 335i + mpe - had this configuration on my e91 n54.

Exhaust change makes n54 sound superb.

Also 135i n54 with mpe trumps 335is - as above proves my point.
