I am correct. On paper the m550i only has 10 more hp than the 650 and pre- lci 7 series but they are grossly underrated and have about 100 more hp along with similar torque figures. What bmw “rates” the m550i is not necessarily what the truth is. Politics come in play and bmw would never rate the 2018 m550i with the Same hp figures as the f10 m5.

I’m sure the lci 5 will get the laser lights and whatever new feature the 7 got but that won’t be due until the lci which will start production in July of 2020 as a 2021 model.

The MY2020 model M550 will have the new engine N63B44T3 along with the rest of V8s (yes 850 included).

Plus i hope it will get new features and updates that 750 got (adaptive laser lights, alcantra headliner, remote start etc)
